Those of you who are following me on techsupportrich also need to start following SimplyLIVE as that's where the updates are going to be from now on. It seemed like a better idea to separate it from my own Twitter account. That said, if you would like to follow me you are more than welcome to do so.

Hey gang, just a couple of things you should know.

First of all Craig Bevan's Movie Minutes is now available to everybody as a regular podcast. You can find everything you need to click on to subscribe here.

Second, some of you have been listening to the live shows and may have heard me saying that there are all kinds of places you can listen. That isn't as necessary any more however I should tell you about some of the things we can do with the live shows.

Due to an overwhelming demand for the live shows the Simply Syndicated site tends to crash when we all pile on at once. In an attempt to spread that load we have started to put the live player in as many places as possible, starting with FaceBook. There is a Stickam application for FaceBook, unfortunately it only works with personal profiles rather than groups or pages. That means I have had to put the player on my own profile, which you can find by clicking here.

You can also find the player on our Libsyn account blog pages either for Super Happy Fun Time or ...or do you think that's just bo!!*#ks?

Here's a few changes that were just made.

1. Changed the css for the site making it look a little better.

2. Added a page for Richard and Allison's Super Happy Fun Time

3. Added forum category for Richard and Allison's Super Happy Fun Time

4. Added Star Trek Movies Category in the Make It So forum

5. Added Simply Syndicated LIVE players on the pages for Super Happy Fun Time and ...or do you think that's just bo!!*#ks?

It has been a long time coming and finally it is here. Some of the shows produced by Simply Syndicated will be available live as they're recorded. It won't be planned in advance, there's no video, and my computer lacks the RAM it needs to run everything without giving me wicked delay in the headphones. Never the less, if you click on the LIVE button on the Things We Make menu you'll be able to listen to things as they happen. Who knows, you may even be able to call into the show!

At the moment the only shows that are definately going to be always live are ...or do you think that's just bollocks? and Rich and Allison's Super Happy Fun Time. Others may happen on the spur of the moment, like The Definitive Word.

I have just updated the Simply Hear feed to include all the episodes missed while we were on holiday. I hope you like them.

There is a hosting issue with Movies You Should See at the moment. I've got an email in with Libsyn and hopefully everything will be sorted as soon as possible. You should be able to see the new episode in the feed but not download it.

It is fixed and working now.

Well, no, I am, that is me and Allison. Anyway, the point is that since I'll be on holiday for a week there won't be anybody around to add things to the Simply Hear feed.

Most shows will be happening as normal but you'll have to either download them directly or subscribe to the individual show feeds. Normal service will resume when I get back.

Oh, and that also means that the front page of this site won't change for a while either.

Last night (for the UK anyway) Simply Syndicated went down. I'm still waiting for more information from HostICan but what I know so far is that we were drawing around 9mb/sec of bandwidth from the server. Apparently that's a lot. At the moment I think it's something to do with the Simply Hear feed as the site went down shortly after the new episode of The Definitive Word was posted. That means everybody hits the simplyhear.xml file at the same time and crashes the site. Maybe.

As a result of that I have shortened the Simply Hear feed to around 30 back episodes so that the xml file is far smaller. I'll let you know more as I find out more. If this keeps happeneing I'll have to start looking at different hosting providers and maybe move the site.

**UPDATE**

When I looked at iTunes this morning, this is what I saw. Note how we are above Mark Kermode. Being honest, it's probably because we're the featured podcast on the front of the store but I don't care. Right now we're huge!

Seeing as it's a bank holiday I thought it might be nice to have a little sale in the store. Until midnight on Monday you can get the Movies You Should See Year 1 Box Set for £35 instead of £45.

As I write this, Books You Should Read is ranked at number 2 in the Arts section of the iTunes UK Store, and number 36 overall. That make it the highest overall ranking a Simply Syndicated show has ever had before.

I'd like to say thank you to everyone who has contributed to the show so far, and thanks to all the people who have sent in book reviews that we have yet to air. I think it goes to show that you guys are the power behind Simply Syndicated.

If you're reading this it means everything has happened the way it was supposed to and you are now on the new Simply Syndicated web site. I hope you like it as I've been at it for months now.

I'm sure there will be teething problems but hopefully they won't be too bad. I'll do my best to get things fixed as soon as they come up.

Over the next couple of weeks a few minor features will be coming on line. I know there are a couple of things missing at the moment, but they are on their way.
