Great book, skip the sequels and go directly to Herbert jr books. you will thank me later.

A good review. Said the basic outline but left just enough to get the mouth watering.
I have to disagree with Dan. The last three Frank Herbert books are great. Miles Teg is a strong character.
The Herbert Jr books vary in quality. The pre Dune Messiah books are weak but the ones on the Butlerian Jihad and the “House” books are great.
