Hey girls,

I just wanted to say that I think you two are making a great start to the New Year and I'm really excited about the upcoming shows. I have to tell you, I think my favorite episode so far has been the one on BBQs. Having lived in California and Texas my whole life, I could help but chuckle over your description of you poor Brits trying desperately to start a fire every time a semi-sunny day comes along! But the reason I wanted to write, I hope you'll let us know on the next podcast the names of the books you were talking about on this. It sounds like you both have really great taste in both food and books so I'd like to check out the ones you mentioned. Anyway, keep up the good work and best of luck in 2010.

Ladies, speaking of bones this year, I have one to pick with you. First off, thanks for making me look like the crazy lady in my local supermarket as I waddle my way down the aisles of my local supermarket, giggling to myself as you two talk of mouse gods and all things offensive in the land of food. As a Pineapple (an Aussie from the Sunshine State) living in the land of the Potato (Ireland), I have found many of your tales hilarious particularly as I continue discover crime after crime (always premeditated over here!) against food. They charge €8-9 for a meat pie (and not particularly nice one) in a pub over here. Our first pasty stall arrived in Dublin (Huzah!). My boyfriend (bless him) had never tried pesto before I arrived. Or pumpkin. Or a medium-rare steak. And don’t even get me started on the 3-in-one special that’s popular in the Chinese takeaways over here. Or the fact that you can even buy chips from a Chinese. Or the fact that they call it Chinese. Even that they call it food could be challenged in a court of law. Anyway I digress…thanks for the laughs and may 2010 bring you full lunchboxes, tasty treats and the discovery of more CAF.
