I've been listening to this album for 35 years now -- sporadically, to be sure, as I prefer Leftoverture -- and I only just figured out that it was spelled Know: Point of Know Return.
Good God!

Did I know this and forget it, in an effort to forgive the sheer douchebaggery of it all?
Could I have merely "cared less" because I'm not particularly a fan of the title track?
Hmm...

From the Zune for this album, in order of personal preference:
"Closet Chronicles"
"Portrait (He Knew)"
"The Spider"

No room even for "Dust In The Wind" among the 11 Kansas songs I carry around. Truly, though, that's because I live in America and if you listen to Classic Rock radio you simply can't avoid hearing that track. I don't need my own copy of either "Dust in the Wind" or "Carry On My Wayward Son" ... although the latter is one of the 11.

As for "Closet Chronicles" ... maybe I like musical theatre after all ... who knew?

Either I imagined it or this was on the old forum as well. I think it's an excellent idea to share experiences.

A few weeks ago I went to see Rammstein at the O2 Arena in London. First of all, what a fantastic venue that is! The sound quality and the place as a whole is just awesome.

Anyway, onto the band. I was always aware of Rammstein but it wasn't until you reviewed them on the show that I actually took any notice of them. Their musical style seems to change a lot from song to song but they always keep their 'Rammstein Sound'. The big chunky guitars and Casio Keyboard just seem to work so well together!

One thing this band is known for is their use of Pyro in their live performances and they definitely didn't disappoint. Most songs had some fire/bangs/sparks/flamethrowers and occasionally some fake man cream sprayed into the audience.

There is a video taken at the show (not by me) here; http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHiOFtd3pvc

I would thoroughly recommend the live show that Rammstein put on to anyone. It was so fricken awesome and probably the best gig I have been to.

So, who have you seen and who were your favourites?

I really love metal covers as I have discovered so many new bands by flicking through them. I just thought I'd share some of my favourites here and ask what yours are?

So, some of the best in my library;

As much as I dislike Korn, their cover of Word Up is worth a listen here

I'm also not a big fan of Disturbed but they covered a Genesis song by the name of Land of Confusion. It's on Youtube here

I can't really fault this one, Alien Ant Farm doing Smooth Criminal. Find it here

So there's just a few. I'll post more as I find them.

What are your favourites?

Rock Out! \m/

EDIT: Sorry if these aren't available in your country, do look them up anyway!
