Anyone else caught up in this tornado of medieval fantasy adventure and misadventure? I think we had this thread on the last forum but that was before season 2 started so I wonder where everyone is at with the show now.

For me it's all about the Lannisters. It's not that they're the only good characters but Tywin and his spawn (and their spawn ... ew) are the most consistently watchable and the most entertaining, from everyone's favourite imp to everyone's most hated king.

I hope this thread kicks off some fun chit-chat, all I ask is that if you've read the books you leave anything which could be a spoiler out of this thread. Make this thread about the HBO series up to date and if there's book-chat to be had we have a lovely Books section of the forums especially set up for that.

I think this is a good place for it.

Shame

7/10
I thought it was pretty good. Michael Fassbender did a good performance showing all of his "stuff". The movie takes a good turn in showing how bad an addiction like this he has. I think Fassbender should have gotten something for this, but now we know he wont. Plus lot of nakedness, and Fassbender made me feel small.

Red Tails

8/10
I thought this was a pretty good movie about the Tuskegee airmen. Though the actors in it seem pretty new and that might be a choice much like from Star Wars to cast unknown actors. The action though was excellent and I know the dog fighting is goign to be compared to Star Wars, but really they took it from World War II footage of real dog fights. The only jarring thing is that I saw it in regular film projection. Had it been shown in a digital theater or gotten the IMAX treatment it would have looked so much prettier.

Haywire

7/10
I thought this was a pretty entertaining movie. Gina Carano displayed ass-kicking action chops. And unlike just a regular actress learning to fight for a movie, Gina really know how to kick ass. But unlike a regular actress, she did not act too well since this is her very first movie. Wasn't bad though I just went along for the right. I know people are going to see it and say it is the worst Steven Sodenbergh movie. But I thought it was good and it kept me interested. I hope Gina doesn't get the direct-to-DVD treatment, but I like to see her in more things. I think they should go ahead and make her Wonder Woman. :x
