The shows the aren't here

I'm thinking that some of the sharper ones amongst you will have noticed that instead of having a huge list of shows, we've got a small list of show and this "other shows" category. There's a reason for that, and I thought I'd tell you what it is.

One thing we've never really managed to do is be totally regular with shows. I always thought that was to do with trying to do too much. So with that in mind I think it's time to move some of the old shows over to one side and forge ahead with some new ones, carefully. Remember in Apollo 13 when they have to turn all the systems back on in the right order to make sure nothing breaks? Well what I'm doing is something like that. Production on some new shows is starting next week (new show out on Tuesday/Wednesday). All of the old shows are going to be put together on the same feed so that while the production of them remains sporadic, there should still be a feed with something on it regularly. So shows like Movies You Should See, Crimes Against Food and others haven't been cancelled, I'm simply saying that you shouldn't expect one a week, and I have no idea when the next one is going to be. In the specific case of MYSS, it has just been put to one side while I get some new structure behind it.

The shows that have remained are ones that we generally don't have a problem getting out in a timely fashion. TIOLI, SHaFT and FTATR are generally always there, to help with that we'll be moving SHaFT to Saturday nights. Hooked is moving to a series release style, but will have some extra shows that pop up from time to time which will also go into the new multi-show feed. I must come up with a name for that.

Anyway, the first of the new shows will be going live at midnight GMT or 7pm EST on Tuesday night, and will be hosted by Jason from ATW9K and myself. We have something planned that I think will turn out to be rather special.

Following that I plan to build up the list of new shows with great caution, one at a time. As soon as we hit what looks like the peak of our production we'll stop doing new show ideas and hold off for a while.

Any changes need to be made to subscriptions of the RSS feeds? I'm subscribed to the general Simply Syndicated one on iTunes which delivers everything, so I'm assuming that one is okay...

Seconded, I'm subscribed to everything individually, so I need to change anything?

If you need to change anything I'll let you know before it happens. Subscribing to the main feed will always give you absolutely everything.

I know I am replying to this about three months late, but what was wrong with MYSS? My favorite part of that show was that there was no real structure to it. I loved the fact that I was an invisible person in your living room listening to you and your best friends talk about a movie.

    Welcome back, nymphadora!
Of course, I can't answer this question, but it's always good to see a familiar name.
  • If you need ideas for movies to review, I would love to hear you guys review "CaddyShack" my all-time favorite comedy!!! :)

The Masters of None were actually filling in for Movies You Should See and reviewed CaddyShack.  Obviously not the same hosts but still a good show.  Just go to the shows pages to Masters of None, flip back through a few pages and you should be able to find and download it because it is no longer in their iTunes feed.
