LTS (that stands for “love the show”, but takes up less space).
I am a Trekkie in Texas, and an avid Trek rpg player. You have mentioned a couple things on the show and I have some ‘answers’.
One: Orion women…. they are actually the ones in charge of things. They appear in the guise of slaves, but are actually the ones in control, not the men. They have a pheromone they can give off that makes them almost irresistible to the male of most species, humans are particularly vulnerable. The effects make it easy for the Orions to pick pockets, ect. In the Movie, I was quite surprised to find the Orion woman in Academy, but can easily suspend my restrictions on imagination (LOL) to allow for the alt uni.
Two: regarding alt uni’s. It is a theory that there are infinite of strands of reality, each playing out a line of possibility. For example, there would a reality somewhere that plays out the resulting universe in which Star Trek was never imagined, another where the wheel was never invented, etc. Just the theory, but interesting. So an alt reality or uni, is not an either/or, but just one of billions of realities. I loved the Movie btw.
I never miss an episode of MIS, though I never seem to catch it live to call or Twitter in. Keep up the good work. I think after the success of this movie, you may find your listenership growing.
