Come on guys, try harder: Films with Audrey Hepburn (aside from Breakfast at Tiffany’s)… Roman Holiday, Sabrina, My Fair Lady, How to Steal a Million – all without checking on IMDB.
As for Shirley MacLaine, I can only come up with Irma la Douce… starring Jack Lemmon as Shirley MacLaine!
i saw The Apartment for the first time three days ago and i have to say that whilst it was a lot darker than i expected it did reinforce an opinion ive held for a while: Jack Lemmon is an irritating screen presence in all of his early films. Twitchy to the point of epilepsy. He’s great later in his career. His performance in Glengarry Glenn Ross is one of my favourite performances of all time – nobody swears like Jack – but in his early stuff i want to shake him and say “Jack, STOP FIDGETING! THE MATERIAL IS DOING THE WORK. TONE. IT. DOWN!!!!”
