It’s that time of year that we all like to talk about A Christmas Story and how Gremlins is not a Christmas film. See? I write the show notes so I win the argument. It’s not a Christmas movie and neither is Die Hard.

Hi y’all and Merry Christmas! Thank you guys for another great year of MYSS.
I’m glad Rich has finally come to terms about Gremlins being a Christmas movie. After all, Home Alone is not a Christmas movie, it’s a movie about a boy being home alone, and it happens to be set at Christmas.
What about Bridget Jones’ Diary? I think this also is a Christmas movie. It may not be great but I have fond memories about when and where I’ve seen it.
In Switzerland (and I think Germany, too), the two biggest Christmas movies must be Three Wishes for Cinderella (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0070832/), which is a Czech interpretation of the Cinderella story and Little Lord Fauntleroy with Alec Guinness (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0081062/).
