NH – Episode 48 – Avatar’d

Dances with Smurfs has been declared racist by some people and a technological wonder by others (namely James Cameron). Jakob and Mandi enjoyed it well enough, but mostly as jumping-off point for a fight debate about unions and global economics. Also in this episode, part two of the Battlestar GalacTALKa series.

That was the best 15 minutes of Avatar talk I’ve heard yet.
Hi Pen Pals:
I have just heard this episode (I have been really busy lately) and I found you said “Hello”.
Thanks (and “Hello back”…)
Nice episode (though I really didn’t like that much the film when I saw it).
Good GalacTalka episode too.
See you guys.
Agustin
To be honest, I’m a lot less enthusastic about the film now than I was when we recorded the episode. Even at the time I knew it was just a “fun” popcorn movie. But it really left me with nothing to hold on to a week later. I’d probably forget it exists altogether if there weren’t a big yellow Na’vi eye staring at me on our blog.
