Richard Smith
Richard is a native South Yorkshireman, who crossed the border to Leeds after University. An avid geek since before he learned to talk, Richard soon caught on to the emerging new media of podcasting and started listening to a few shows. Seeing it as the opportunity that he and his creative friends had been looking for – a way to get their talents showcased outside of traditional media – he immediately started to think about shows he could produce. Simply Syndicated was born, and started recording shows in March 2005. The first listenable show, Movies You Should See was first released in August 2005.
Since then, Richard has gone on to build the network to what it is today. Along the way, he has earned the moniker Evil Overlord Sexy Time, which he enjoys far too much to be healthy. With his friends, his partner Allison, and a handful of complete strangers, he continues to love podcasting whilst indulging his own geekery.
