The Definitive Word

How do you define a podcast like The Definitive Word?

definitive (de-FIN-a-tiv) adj. 1. Precisely defined or explicit … well, sometimes it’s one of those things, and sometimes it’s another, but rarely both at once.

2. Supplying or being a final settlement or decision; conclusive … no, we really couldn’t make this claim.

3. Authoritative and complete … It’s our goal, but we sometimes get sidetracked along the way.

4. Fully formed or developed, as an organ or structure … Fair enough. This is a fully formed podcast.

5. A word that defines or limits, such as the definite article or a demonstrative pronoun … This sums it up best.

The Definitive Word is a weekly round-table discussion hosted by Will Tristram and various guests. Each week, the panel picks a topic and chews on it for a while until a conclusion is reached, or not reached, with plenty of hilarity along the way.

Don’t expect to get much out of this. It’s kind of disappointing. Then again, if you didn’t expect much in the first place you might be happy.

For the next two weeks the two packs are on sale for only £9.99 each. Not bad for nearly a whole day of Will.
