Art talks with Kevin Conroy, the voice of Batman, we read some hate mail, discuss the state of the show, Mike’s new job (Oy!) and generally freestyle, but not in that order.
An audio commentary for the amazingly awful He-Man & She-Ra: A Christmas special from 1985. You can watch the full special HERE while you listen along with us on your headphones or on your computer if you have a fancy computer setup. Merry Christmas.
It’s the one time of year we can be kinda political, so here comes Mike & Art talking with author Dave Duley about the state of the USA and his book “I Can Fix America” as well as his podcast The Controversial Truth. Due to the hurricane, we’ve been offline, in the dark and all kinda mixed up as far as episodes and whatnot, but we’ll be back on track starting next week.
Mike & Jay rambled in this live episode about Mike’s webcam adventures, guessing our Halloween costumes, best pumpkin beers, Art’s Star Wars interview quest, the Walking Dead, Dexter, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and The League premieres, best & worst Halloween candy, and came up with the best holiday flash mob idea ever. We also missed Art.
We freestyled live on MoreLikeRadio.com about everything from Mike’s week-long bachelor party, new jobs, Replacement Ref Bruce, Jay’s appearance on the Cosby Show (pic below), fantasy football, heckling, Cousin Jay’s Halloween party disaster, Mike’s impossible costume idea, Boxing Day and of course, Ballsy Coleslaw. We also took some live calls, stole some chatroom jokes and drank Blue Point beer. Also, Americans, tell us what you want for your exclusive show topic at MastersOfNoneShow @gmail.com.
Stuff we talked about- Doc Ock costumes
When talking about Britain’s pre-eminent comedians, who would you presume to be at the top of the list? Ricky Gervais? Jimmy Carr? Stewart Lee? Victoria Wood? Well, most comedians would throw another name at you; Daniel Kitson. From 1:59 to 3:57 of this video, Lee talks of the professional envy he felt when he first saw Kitson live.
Kitson’s often dishevelled appearance, thick scraggly beard, and pronounced stutter may not correlate with some people’s ideas of a live performer. But comedy often provides the refuge for those who had to rely on their wits to get by rather than looks. Scratch is his latest show that he will be taking to this summer’s Edinburgh Festival. But every comic needs to give the new car a test drive – hence the series of warm-up gigs in Battersea over the past week. (more…)
Bobcat Goldthwait talks with Jay and Art about his latest film God Bless America and his comedy DVD You Don’t Look the Same Either. We also talk with Bobcat about radio, movies, stand up, podcasts, auditions, and other directors. Bobcat even makes fun of Jay’s technical difficulties during the show.
We talked to comedian Mitch Fatel and also about things that start off as one thing and end up completely different. Check out the very funny Mitch Fatel if you’re in the NY area this weekend at Levity Live in West Nyack. Also follow our other guests Dan @thebeerguyLOD and Cousin Jay (brah).
