Welcome to Simply Syndicated

Here at Simply Syndicated we make audio entertainment. We have been known to make a video from time to time, but mainly we're audio people. We've been doing it for a long time, so we've made loads of stuff. Over the years we've talked about movies, music, TV, cooking, video games, books, beer, and Star Trek.

Most of our content is available as free podcasts, which you can listen to here, or download to listen on whatever device you prefer. We also have Simply Everything, which gives you access to everything we’ve ever made, and special shows made for Simply Everything members.

Check out our Shows page and see if there’s something you like. Maybe we can turn your drive to work, into something to look forward to.

Daniel Kitson: Scratch

August 4th 2012

When talking about Britain’s pre-eminent comedians, who would you presume to be at the top of the list? Ricky Gervais? Jimmy Carr? Stewart Lee? Victoria Wood? Well, most comedians would throw another name at you; Daniel Kitson. From 1:59 to 3:57 of this video, Lee talks of the professional envy he felt when he first saw Kitson live.

Kitson’s often dishevelled appearance, thick scraggly beard, and pronounced stutter may not correlate with some people’s ideas of a live performer. But comedy often provides the refuge for those who had to rely on their wits to get by rather than looks. Scratch is his latest show that he will be taking to this summer’s Edinburgh Festival. But every comic needs to give the new car a test drive – hence the series of warm-up gigs in Battersea over the past week. (more…)
